8 Reasons Why Psychics Are Sometimes Inaccurate

8 Reasons Why Psychics Are Sometimes Inaccurate

As I read through what I’ve written, I hope it doesn’t discourage you from getting a reading. A psychic reading can be life changing when it goes well. Most people don’t realize how hard a seer has to work to overcome obstacles to their accuracy. Here are eight reasons why a psychic’s accuracy may be off.

1) The psychic may misinterpret information they receive. I’ve mentioned in previous posts that psychics are fallible. An image they see could have 100 different meanings. A psychic needs to give you what they get. If a psychic sees a blue car in your cards, they should say, “I see a blue car.” The psychic might say ” I see you are going to buy a blue car.” If that blue car represents the car you’re driving now, the psychic would be wrong. They interpreted information instead of describing it.

2) The psychic isn’t grounded that day. Like everybody else, psychics have bad days. When a psychic has an off day, it’s usually because of their ultra sensitivity. It might be they’ve done too many readings that day or have been working in an altered state for too long without a break. Maybe they’re empathic and are still carrying a past client’s “emotional stuff.” It could be as easy for them to ground as going outside for some fresh air or eating a meal. If a psychic feels too scattered that day, they should call you to reschedule your reading.

3) The psychic is too close to whom they’re reading. When a psychic reads for someone they have to be neutral and detached. When they like you or love you, they want for you what you want for yourself. It’s doubly hard to tell you if they sense things aren’t going to work out as you hoped. Sometimes, familiarity with the readee is a factor and sometimes it’s not. Psychics have regular clients too where it doesn’t seem to be a factor.

4) The psychic s picking up sentiment. Psychics can get it wrong if they’re picking up on the emotions connected to an event, instead of the event. A psychic must always remain neutral and detached. Predicting the outcome of an election is tricky because a pyschic might be sensing the collective sentiment about that candidate, not the actual outcome. When a psychic reads on the stock market the same dynamic applies. They may be detecting the sentiment of the market analysts, not on how a stock will perform.

5) The psychic got the outcome right, but the issue hasn’t played out yet. You might be only 2/3rds of the way through a particular situation. Psychics skip over the consecutive steps and go right to the conclusion. They may not have picked up on a significant event that happens in the middle before the conclusion. It may seem as if everything turned out other than predicted but you haven’t reached the outcome yet.

6) A psychic’s bias. All psychics are humans with opinions and beliefs. Sometimes, a psychic has an unconcious prejudice. Common biases are religious, political and/or cultural. A psychic who is a former Catholic might have a bias about marriage or abortion. If the seer leans towards socialism, they might have a bias against a client who believes in capitalism. If you’re American, you might have a cultural bias about someone from another country. A psychic can get it wrong if they’re unaware they’re reading through the filter of personal bias. A psychic needs to read to the best of their ability without bias or recuse themselves from reading.

What It Is Like For A Psychic Intuitive Or Psychic Medium To Give A Reading

7) The future changes. It’s hard for a psychic to be accurate about the future when everyone has free will. Free will means you are free to change your mind at any time which thus changes your future. When other people make different decisions, it can change their future and your future. The future is not set in stone- it’s dynamic. It’s not easy to predict. The reason people seek out psychics about their probable future is so that, if it’s necessary, they can make alternate decisions to change their outcomes.

Can Psychics Predict The Future?

8) You don’t want the psychic’s information to be right. One time I had a party of giggly women come to my house for readings. The first woman, who had organized the party, went first. Her husband had a successful startup, and  he was in the process of opening up another business. I kept sensing that his first business was going to go under and he should stay focused on only that for the next five years. She was so angry and upset with my reading that she cancelled all the other women’s readings on the spot. Six months later the housing and stock markets crashed. Natural disasters and major economic events are big game changers.

I hope this is helpful in understanding why sometimes a psychic’s information isn’t accurate.Your psychic should be at least 70% accurate, or you need a new seer. 3 Reasons You’ll Want To Get Your Next Psychic Reading Over The Phone Or Skype

IO

If you’re considering getting a psychic reading and have done some research, you’ll notice that many top psychics offer phone or Skype sessions.

And while it sounds pretty convenient to consult a psychic without leaving the comfort of your own home, you’re probably thinking it can’t possibly be as accurate or effective as an in-person session, right?

Well, you’ll be surprised to know that a psychic phone session may be the most accurate of any type of reading you can get. In fact, most  people who consult with psychics opt for phone readings including those who are at the very top of their profession.

For example, Gillian Oxley, a top Toronto realtor earning about $100 million in sales a year, phones a psychic – what she calls her “secret weapon” – once a month to get advice on various business opportunities.

Still not convinced?

Here are 3 reasons you’ll want to get your next psychic reading over the phone or Skype.

#1. Phone or Skype psychic readings can be more effective than in-person sessions.

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to visit a psychic in person to get a good reading. That’s because there are skilled and seasoned psychics that can tune into your vibrational energy and receive information about you over the phone or Skype.

At in-person sessions, psychics may unconsciously read into – and draw conclusions based on – physical traits or cues. These include everything from your age, the car you’re driving, and what you’re wearing (jewelry, makeup, clothing), to how you behave, your eyes, and your facial expressions. Worst yet, unskilled psychics may use these physical “tells” to read you.

So if you’re doing a phone or Skype session and your psychic is tuning into your energies without the help of these physical cues, you can be sure you’ve reached a legitimate psychic. Your reading will be based only on what you – and your vibrational energy – are communicating.

#2. You can get a reading right from your own home (or anywhere you choose).

You don’t have to be a high-profile realtor like the one I mentioned above to want to make your psychic reading the most convenient to your schedule as possible. A reading from wherever you choose means you don’t have to commute.

This is essential for those with transportation challenges, and ideal for others who simply want to avoid traffic or the pressure to be somewhere on time. Any nervousness directly before a reading can spill over into a reading and cloud your energy, which adversely affects the quality of your reading.

In addition, you may feel more relaxed and calm receiving detailed, intimate information about yourself if you’re in familiar surroundings and you don’t have someone watching you.

#3. You can consult the best quality psychic available.

Being able to call or Skype your psychic means you aren’t bound by any geographic limitations. You can select your psychic of choice based on your research and any specific qualifications you may have, no matter where in the world they are located. Whether it’s a tarot reading or mediumship counselling, you don’t need to be present in-person for the reading to be effective or accurate.

Natural Psychic Abilities: Animal Instinct Explained

Mount Agung, the volcano in Bali, is still rumbling. Locals, who live on the mountain and at the base, many of whom were not alive back in 1963 when it last erupted, knew that it was active well before they heard anything from officials. How? Snakes and Monkeys were moving down the mountain. According to scientists, snakes can sense earthquakes at a distance of 120 miles and their unusual behavior can be used to predict and detect.

Just before the major tsunami hit Asian coastlines in 2004, dogs were seen to refuse to leave home and didn’t want to go toward the coast.

At the time of that same tsunami, the Flamingos that are bred at Point Calimere wildlife sanctuary in India, left their normal low lying breeding area and flew to higher areas.

On the island of Sumatra elephants who were giving rides to tourists began trumpeting at about the time the earthquake began even though it was not ‘feelable’ to humans. The owner of the business, Dang Salangam said he’d never heard the elephants crying out like that before. The elephants rebelled against their trainers commands and ran inland and up into the hills.

More than 200,000 people were killed by the magnitude 9 earthquake off the coast of Sumatra. If you haven’t seen the movie The Impossible, it gives a powerful and surreal, if distant, experience of that tragedy. One of the notable aspects of it is that many people were completely unaware of anything being ‘off’ until the first massive wave was upon them. After the clean up, very few animals were found dead.

In 373 B.C. according to the Roman historian Aelian, many animals, including snakes, rats, centipedes and weasels came up from underground and hurried out of the city of Helike five days before an earthquake destroyed it.

Alternatively, whereas most animals move away from intensified weather patterns, tiger sharks tend to move toward electrical storms.

Some scientists theorize that the prescient behavior of animals is due to their heightened infrasonic sound pulses generated by earth shifts, and are quick to dismiss the perspective that there is something mystical at work. Elephant communication is 3/4 infrasonic.

Intuitive awareness and your natural psychic abilities

Others point to the animal behavior as coming from a sixth sense. We humans have big brains, and perhaps with the development there in the cranium, we’ve lost other abilities we once had.

More accurate than humans having lost that sixth sense, or intuitive ability , is that in our head-centric advancement, the more ‘animal’ parts of us, especially the beneficial ones, like empathy, have gone dormant.

However we explain the animal behavior, their awareness being different than that of us human animals is evident. Humans have made incredible advances in science and technology, and while clearly there are many benefits, could there also be detriments?

In Joni Mitchell’s classic song from 1967, Both Sides Now, she sings:

Well something’s lost and something’s gained
In living everyday

The heart and the head, the human intellect and the animal wisdom. Neither is good or bad, and both serve purposes. The question might become how do we use one or the other, or maybe both, to ultimately foster what is most important to us.

Tapping into your own natural psychic abilities

Perhaps it’s time for us to look at life from both sides too. The heart and the head, the human intellect and the animal wisdom, which may be how some of us tap into our intuitive abilities. Neither is good or bad, and both serve purposes. The question might become how do we use one or the other, or maybe both, to ultimately foster what is most important to us.

And you, in your life now, how useful might it be to regain some of your own natural psychic abilities or animal sensitivity. The brain serves many functions in life, and yet when we truly tune in, we know (in our bones and intuition) that it’s the heart that leads us to love and fulfillment.

Ram Das, the philosopher, teacher and author, who was formerly Richard Alpert, professor at Harvard, said: “I’ve met some of the smartest people in our time, and some of the wisest. The difference between them is that the wise ones are also happy.”

Recovering Emotionally from Trauma and Natural Disasters: *My 9/11 Anniversary Perspective, Boston, MA

We just passed the anniversary of 9/11 earlier this month. Do you remember where you were and who you were with when you heard the news about the Twin towers? I bet you do. Every person I’ve asked this question to recalls with great clarity. This is common with group (or collective) trauma.

How about July 11, 2017? You might; that was just a couple months ago, though more than likely, unless there was something occurring in your life with emotional importance, you’d need to work to remember that date.

In Baz Luhrmann’s song Sunscreen – and if you haven’t heard the song, I encourage you to give it a listen – he says:

Don’t worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind. The kind that blindside you at 4 PM on some idle Tuesday. Despite this sage advice, worry is our tendency.

My friend Daniel was in New York that morning. He’s a yogi, and had just come out of a class with a visiting dignitary teacher at Chelsea Piers, where 23rd Street meets the West Side Highway.

“I knew something was off right away. I got to the street corner and a bunch of people were gathered there. They were eagerly talking to each other. Some were pointing up over downtown.”

People don’t tend to stop and talk on the Streets in New York. When he told me the story of his experience there that day, two things stood out.

He recounted: “I joined the group there and a man in a business suit told me that a plane had crashed into one of the towers. I was looking up when the second plane hit. It happened so fast that I couldn’t see the plane. What I did see though, and what changed my life forever, was the explosion on the other side of the building. Flames and smoke poured out.

‘Immediately I went from thinking that we’d experienced a bizarre and tragic accident (a plane crashing into a building) to the realization that this was not an accident. The next moment brought the terrifying question: ‘what else is going to happen now?'”

Most of us are unlikely to experience a terrorist attack, or even a life-threatening hurricane, earthquake or fire. And while that’s generally something positive – certainly I don’t wish those kind of experiences upon anyone – my friend Daniel, and some of the people in the midst of the world’s current natural disasters, may have an advantage over us.

I asked him how his life was forever changed.

I knew – and I mean knew deep in my bones – that there really is no certainty. We think we know what’s going to happen, and the truth is anything can happen in any moment.”

One lesson we might get from this is that given the truth that we never really know the future, we do well to prioritize what’s truly important to us.

Advice about the future,  Boston’s best psychic

I’ll let you in on a little psychic industry secret. My work is more about the present than the future. Sure, I do get impressions and visions, and they turn out to be accurate most of the time. More importantly though, I help people understand themselves and what’s happening now – and from that, they are much better at creating their own destinies.

For a few days after 9/11 New York’s atmosphere radically changed from the cold, impersonal city it’s known for to a village where people talked to each other, looked out for each other.

In the midst of disaster, a common question becomes: ‘what matters to me?’

What would you be doing or saying if you weren’t ‘sure’ about the future. Baz goes on to say: Do one thing everyday that scares you every day.

Perhaps right now is a great time to align your life with what matters to you. If you would would like to seek guidance in this realm, please get in touch or schedule an appointment today.

*I put this blog post on hold to address Hurricane Harvey. The message in the post is still as pertinent as it was on September 11th.

3 Tips To Help You Get The Most Out Of Your Psychic Medium Reading

As one of Boston’s top psychic mediums in practice for almost 30 years, I have helped many clients communicate with their loved ones who have passed over. If it’s your first time getting a psychic medium reading, or if you simply want to improve the readings you’ve been having, here are three tips to help you get the most out of the experience.

Tip #1: No alarms and no surprises.

In order to get the best possible reading, you want to ensure as clear a communication and connection as possible. If this is a phone reading, choose a private, quiet space where you won’t be disturbed or interrupted. If this is an in-person meeting, give yourself ample time – with a little to spare – to get to the location so you aren’t rushing. Those few minutes you’re early will allow you to be relaxed and open.

You’ll also want to make sure you have nothing that may be upsetting or overly exciting scheduled immediately before – or certainly during – your appointment that might divert your attention or occupy your thoughts. Your goal is to be totally present, relaxed, and calm. You see, your energy will affect both yourself and the medium. If you’re in a frazzled state, or thinking about some other pressing issue or meeting you need to be at, you may not hear or recognize the messages you do receive.

Tip #2: Connecting with your psychic medium.

This is crucial. If I am receiving and giving you messages that don’t make any sense to you, please be patient. The spirit that’s coming through is doing their best to lower their vibration to communicate. I am raising my vibration to meet that spirit somewhere in the middle. The reading should settle in once the vibrational connection is right. The spirit may also be new to communicating and not quite sure how it works yet. Of course, if after 10 – 15 minutes you’re still not feeling a connection, tell me and we can decide together whether to continue or end the reading.

Tip #3: Keep an open mind.

While it’s understandable – and can even be beneficial – to have a healthy bit of skepticism going into a reading, you don’t want to be so closed to the experience that you miss out on messages intended for you. Your psychic medium will likely tell you intimate, accurate, and compelling details about your lost loved one that come through during the reading. These details, also known as “evidence,” should prove the identiy of the spirit who is communcating.

A message might come through that you’re unsure about. The way most psychic mediums, including myself, receive information is not linear. We get a lot of messages, sometimes all at once, and we must describe  to you what we see, hear, feel, or know without interpreting. If we interpret the image – we might get it wrong. We describe the image and let you interpret it.

Some things you may not know about your loved one. It may seem like a miss when you hear certain information. Check with a family or friend who is open to spirit communication to see if they may know details that your loved one provided that you don’t know.

Some messages might not make a whole lot of sense to you at the moment you hear it, but will in the near future. You may also feel you’re on the spot in your session. Many people experience, “psychic amnesia” at some time in their session and can’t connect with important details such as their mother’s maiden name. Most mediums know this happens and are not deterred. We know that if a spirit is determined to connect with you, they’ll figure out how to get through to you.
